Oh, desperate darkness
with third days dawning hour
you have lost your damning power
for I, the Eternal Light have brought
the hope and promise of new life.
Mary, do not be surprised…it is I
the temple destroyed
that thy Father has rebuilt
and now Heavens promises have been fulfilled.
Thomas, my disbelieving friend
wont you come and feel the holes
left by the nails
that have pierced my skin.
To all mankind
from the young to the old
my life will forever be known as the
greatest story ever told!
But a mere legend I shall not be
for those whose hearts truly seek to know me
my sacrifice is not the end
as I call all to be fishers of men.
And as I am lifted up into the Heavens
know that I go to prepare a place
for those that have run the race
as my brother and sister
in the love of our Father’s saving grace.
