Desperate Darkness, Pt.2 Calvary

Oh, desperate darkness
so very tired I am
carried from place to place
to be judged by those who wish not to accept Your grace.

Oh, desperate darkness
mockingly they yell at me, "all hail KING of the JEWS!"
And I am beaten until my knees are planted
upon the earth with its morning dew.

Oh, desperate darkness
Abba...I can feel you no more
as they place upon my head a
crown of thorns.

Oh, desperate darkness
down the road I go
may you, Father, give Simon strength
to take upon his shoulders my wooden load.

Oh desperate darkness
with nails in my feet and hands
there are a few I see weeping
please comfort and help them to understand.

Oh, desperate darkness
my date with death is now here
why, my God have you forsaken me?out loud I mourn
as the earth shakes and the curtain is torn.
